For some Friday Night Family Fun how about reading this with your kids and asking their thoughts...
No, that wasn't a joke. You can have intelligent conversations with teens.
It is of course no surprise that this list weighs heavily toward Minnesota and Michigan, where CAIR is strong. But it also includes twelve congressmen from California, 3 from New Jersey, 4 from New York and 6 from Massachusetts. These numbers are not mere statistics, they define the rising influence of the Muslim Brotherhood on American politics, state by state. And it is instructive to note how many of the congressmen and congresswomen on the list are funded by CAIR money. Keith Ellison, John Conyers, Loretta Sanchez, Betty McCollum, Lois Capps, Bill Pascrell, Elijah Cummings, Bob Filner, Mike Honda, Barbara Lee, John Dingell, James Moran, Nick Rahall, Andre Carson, Mary Jo Kilroy, Carolyn Kilpatrick and Jim McDermott are amont the top receivers of CAIR money in congress.
And the letter is simply an opening shot as part of a broader campaign by the Muslim Brotherhood and its American proxies to attack Israel and promote its own Hamas wing.
Click the link to read about the letter and find out the names and constituencies of the 54 Democrats who signed it.
It is easier to fight the war that was essentially already won. Although reprehensible, it is easier to wrap oneself up in a pseudo Jewish identity entirely based on the Holocaust than to invest the intellectual capital required to understand our current enemies and the threat facing our civilization. It takes a bigger investment in time and thought to study and understand the real, underlying message of Jewish living-“to life”, “/l’chaim/”, and being a Light Unto the Nations. Not by liberal activism under a superficial cloak of Judaism, but through celebrating life, and the commandments given to us by G-d passed on throughout the generations of Jewish history.
During the interview with Skanska Dagbladet newspaper, Reepalu was asked whether he considered a public condemnation of anti-Semitism in Malmo. The mayor responded that "Malmo does not accept anti-Semitism and does not accept Zionism," charging that both adopt extreme positions towards certain groups.
Reepalu added that local Jews bear some responsibility for the attitude towards them, noting that "they have the possibility to affect the way they are seen by society." The mayor then urged Malmo's Jewish community to "distance itself" from Israeli attacks on Gaza's civilian population.
SMW's contacts in Sweden confirm that things are very, very bad indeed.

Because it requires people to act unselfishly, marriage is intrinsically vulnerable. So it needs to be shored up and protected by a web of formal and informal laws, conventions and attitudes — not least disapproval of those who flout its core principles of faithfulness and chastity.
But for more than five decades, those laws and conventions have been systematically eroded or destroyed.
The courts removed the concept of fault from divorce and thus emptied marriage of duty and accountability, causing the rate of divorce to shoot up.
All the informal attitudes protecting marriage — taboos against sex outside marriage, illegitimacy, cohabitation — were similarly struck down on the basis that nothing should interfere with the individual’s ‘right’ to do whatever he or she pleased.
With its spiritual and emotional meaning so undermined, marriage became reduced to little more than a contract of expediency.
And it is so much more than that.
Joseph Weissman, the blog's author, has written more details about the event (and the response following) which have been posted over at Harry's Place. Go check it out.
On the eve of today's summit in London on the future of Afghanistan, sources told The Daily Telegraph that they hoped to be able to "reintegrate" half the estimated 25,000 Taliban fighters with promises of new jobs.
Kathy Shaidle calls him out:
Like Mr. Klein, I have some “thoughts”. They may not be able to match his in sheer brilliance, because I am a mere dodo.
If America is a” nation of dodos”, and they elected Barack Obama, then…?

Education experts have cast doubt on the overall expulsion figure, saying the report hides the pressure exerted on head teachers not to exclude even the most violent pupils from their schools.
Furthermore I have anecdotal evidence from head teachers that they are under pressure from local authorities not to exclude pupils for the sake of good statistical results.
If you are reading this from Canada, about to snicker and make a comment about how screwed the UK is hold that thought. SMW has worked in education on both sides of the Atlantic and I can assure you that this is taking place in Canadian schools as well. Under a certain Ontario government a major emphasis was put on stats and numbers and this culture of statistics remains. It is extremely difficult to suspend or expel a student from school - in fact in many cases these acts cannot simply be approved by teachers and principals, they have to approved (or can be nixed) by someone on the local school board. When students are expelled or suspended it contributes to the stats of the school and the school board. Nobody wants to look bad so they push things under the rug and coverup to make themselves look good. All of this happens at the cost of teachers, students and the student who needs to learn that actions have consequences. The same thinking applies to failing kids. Once in high school refusing to fail a child has little to do with 'self-esteem' and alot to do with school stats.
Mrs Ballinger added she was shocked at the small number of permanent exclusions for more serious violent incidents. She added: "Members come to me with stories of pupils waving machete-type weapons in classroom one day, but being back in school the next."They are afraid for their staff's safety, but they are not being allowed to exclude these pupils."Of the 302 reported assaults on a pupil with a weapon, only two pupils were permanently excluded. And only one of the 102 pupils who assaulted staff with a weapon was permanently excluded.
OK, it's not quite that bad in Canada. Yet.
And finally to clearly illustrate just how out of touch government and education officials are with what is going on in schools:
Despite the rise in violent assaults, the minister for skills and lifelong learning, Keith Brown, hailed "exciting, relevant and engaging" classes as a major factor behind the fall in exclusions.
SMW thinks that speaks for itself.

Dear Mr. Attorney General:
In light of recent events, we write to express our continuing concerns regarding the policies of this Administration with respect to those prisoners now detained at Guantanamo, and also any others who in the future might be charged with acts of international terrorism. We remain particularly concerned about using the U.S. criminal justice system for trying enemy combatants.
Of special importance due to time constraints and location, we strongly urge you to reconsider your decision to try Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and the other alleged conspirators in the September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. The attacks of 9/11 were acts of war, and those who planned and carried out those attacks are war criminals. Today, those who subscribe to the same violent ideology as Khalid Sheikh Mohammed continue to plan and execute attacks against innocent civilians all over the world. It is not in our national interest to provide them further publicity or additional advantage.
Go read the letter and Rusty's take on things.
Officers from the West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit arrested a 30-year-old man from the Sparkhill area of Birmingham, Britain's second largest city, Tuesday morning. The man was arrested on suspicion of possessing material likely to be of use to a terrorist and of "distributing terrorist publications," the police said in a statement.

I urge all my freedom loving readers to check out the full story at Harry's Place (from which teh above is taken) or Comment is Free.
Counting down to the knock on my door...
After Friday’s sentencing, a brief summary of the review was published that omitted serious criticisms of Doncaster children’s services contained in the full report, which was leaked to the BBC.
It was said to reveal 31 occasions over a 14-year period when care professionals involved with the brothers’ violent and dysfunctional family failed to take action that might have prevented the attack.
This is yet another example of the unbelievable incompetence that is now rampant throughout British society.
The family who lived next door to the brothers in Doncaster until the boys were taken into care have told The Times of their disgust at “the total failure of the council and the police to answer our cries for help”. Qadir Abdullah, a Home Office interpreter, described how his wife and children had been sworn at, racially abused, injured by rocks and stones, had their car damaged and their windows broken. “We didn’t feel safe. We kept reporting them to the police and the council and they kept saying the boys were too young for them to do anything.”
A classic illustration of how depraved this society has become. I wish I could acurately articulate the total lack of personal responsibility and discipline that pervades almost every aspect of child care in this country, from Education to Social Work. Britain has turned itself inside out and backwards, it would take generations to get itself back on track. As one commenter in the Times said:
Having worked as a Community Service Supervisor, and told my sevices were no longer required after defending myself after being attacked by a 20 year old offender. ( I was 61 years old at the time ).You think this Country has problems now.Wait another few years when the children of this Waster, Scum, so called underclass reach maturity.Stop welfare payments, and sterilise these no hopers.
It might sound silly but it is true - if you try to discipline a child (or in this case a 20 year old), or defend yourself against an attack here you are the one with the problem, not the child. An entire system of teachers, social workers and educators filled with unionized workers who are often undereducated, underpaid and too lazy to care about doing the job right have led to a system where children run wild, free to commit any heinous act they choose.

Obama announced that he is going to try and implement massive new regulations that would restrict what banks are able to - including huge restrictions on proprietary trading and forcing banks out of hedge funds.
President Barack Obama has proposed tough new limits on the size and activities of the country's largest banks, including restrictions on some banks' ability to trade for their own account or set up in-house hedge funds.
This is falling back on the populist belief that banks are entirely responsible for the current economic situation when in fact there is lots of blame to go around.
Though the roots of the financial crisis were in lax loan underwriting, followed by lax underwriting of derivative products containing those loans and a poor grasp on the exposures banks were amassing on their books, the administration is relying on populist outrage to regain momentum. ...
Legislators responsible for pushing the proposals through Congress lined up in support on Thursday. Connecticut Sen. Christopher Dodd, who is not running for re-election but who heads the Senate Banking Committee, said in a statement, "I agree with President Obama that taxpayers should not be underwriting these risky activities. Companies that choose to take such risks should do so on their own dime and not in a way that threatens the stability of our economy."
Let's have a look at what Obama and his buddies were saying a mere 12 months ago. Compare and contrast:
Even before he appeared on the Hill, Obama was laying groundwork to avoid a TARP train wreck. In a letter sent on Monday to congressional leaders, he pledged to devote much of the second installment to assisting small businesses and helping students and car buyers get loans. In personal calls to members on both sides of the aisle he promised better transparency of how the funds are disbursed, reflecting the frustration and anger of many members regarding the Treasury Department's handling of the funds.
Obama was convinced that TARP needed to pass in order to save the American economy. Why?
Barack Obama’s first major step on the campaign trail — in December 2006 — was to Wall Street, where he snagged the backing of convicted inside trader George Soros and investment banker Robert Wolf, who became CEO of UBS Americas. Before the Wall Street meltdown got into full swing, Swiss banking giant UBS had written off more debt from the subprime mortgage crisis than any other bank; a number of Obama's top bundlers came from with firms mired in that mess. Such bundlers raised at least 22 percent of Obama’s money during the first half of 2007, and got perks from the Obama campaign. Indeed, Obama’s national campaign-finance chairwoman, Penny Pritzker, helped run Superior Bank — which was at the forefront of securitizing of subprime mortgages, until it collapsed in 2001.When Wall Street went into meltdown mode, the establishment media ignored that Obama got big donations from associates of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and was one of the all-time recipents of political cash from Lehman Brothers. Before the election Obama voted for TARP. After the election, Obama twisted arms to get the second half of the TARP money, and packed the key economic positions in his White House with the very people who caused the financial crisis in the first place.
Robert Wolf of UBS is advising President Obama on economic matters. According to the WSJ, Wolf has visited the White House over 20 times since Obama was elected. How did this relationship come to be? The two men first met in December 2006 in the New York office of billionaire investor George Soros. Mr. Wolf was a newcomer to elite Democratic donor circles. Then-Sen. Obama, still months from launching his bid for the White House, was desperate to raise campaign cash on Wall Street. It goes on to say that Wolf was responsible for a hefty sum of donations to the Obama's campaign. What is Wolf's agenda? Considering that he met Obama through Soros (who worked with Nazis to round up fellow Jews for deathcamps during WW2) SMW is a bit wary. The WSJ sheds some light on Wolf's ambitions:
Mr. Wolf's chief obsession, White House officials say, is pushing a national infrastructure bank that local governments and the private sector could use to fund big projects like bridges and water-treatment plants—an idea first championed by the Clinton campaign. He has had less to say on the issue closest to his industry: the drive to tighten regulations on the financial sector.
I bet. As public opinion turns against Obama he is grasping at whatever he can to whip up public outrage directed at anyone other than himself. The ground is even getting shaky for some of his own appointees:
With Democrats scrambling--and divided--in their efforts to tame Wall Street, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner (who is said to have initially opposed the measures outlined in the proposals Thursday) has become a fatter target, too. Along with Bernanke, critics continue to lash Geithner for his role in the AIG bailout. He was president of the New York Fed in the fall of 2008 and a central figure in the negotiations between AIG and its credit default swap counterparties, which were paid off in full rather than at a discount.
It should come as no surprise that the markets did not react well to Obama's seemingly sudden announcement that he was going after banks. However, those who have been following Obama closely should not have been caught off guard by these antics. The market is extending losses that gave the Dow Jones industrial average its biggest two-day drop since June. Upbeat earnings from General Electric and McDonald's provided a positive note but weren't enough to keep major indicators out of the red. European markets did not fare any better on Friday:
Worried investors sent European bank shares tumbling on Friday as concern mounted about the impact of the increasingly hostile climate as governments around the world seek to curb perceived bank excess.
While analysts were divided on which foreign banks would suffer the most if the proposals were adopted, many warned the flurry of reform was destabilising the entire sector.
“New regulations are being proposed thick and fast and the industry faces major uncertainty from these,” wrote Nomura’s Raul Sinha in a note. “The latest proposals are only a week after the announcement of the tax on wholesale liabilities. What’s next?”
Over in the SquareMile things are a bit skiddish. Yesterday headlines were screaming that Brown was "very uncomfortable" with Obama's plan. Today it is a different story. As Iain Martin of the WSJ says, the British government is "all over the map" on this one:
The contradictory statements emerging from Whitehall illustrate how much of a shock President Obama’s dramatic announcement on bank reform was to the British government. Obama proposes to break up the megabanks and put limits on the size of institutions and their trading activities. This was a u-turn by the administration and is not at all in line with what the British government wants.
The Obama administration is proving to be amateurish at best when it comes to dealing with global markets. Coming out with a major surprise announcement that impacts global markets is not a way to increase consumer confidence and market stability. With more housing foreclosures expected in 2010 and the job market showing little improvement it may seem easy for people to jump on this populist bandwagon and crusade against the banks, but they will be doing so at their own peril.

All eyes will be on New York when markets open later today.
President Obama's pledge on Thursday to end the "excess and abuse" and a "binge of irresponsibility" in the financial system, shook shares in banks. The largest US banks suffered the biggest blows, with JP Morgan Chase off 7pc, Bank of America 6pc lower and Goldman Sachs down 4pc.
SMW is busy today but will try and write more about this later.

Under the proposed rule, commercial banks would be prohibited from owning, investing in or advising hedge funds or private equity firms. Bank regulators would not be simply given the discretion to enforce such rules. They would be required to do so.
"You can choose to engage in proprietary trading, or you can own a bank, but you can't do both," the official said.
U.S. President Barack Obama said in an interview published on Thursday he had underestimated the difficulty of resolving the Middle East conflict and had set his expectations too high in his first year.
"The Middle East peace process has not moved forward. And I think it's fair to say for all our efforts at early engagement, is not where I want it to be," Obama told Time Magazine.
"This is just really hard ... This is as intractable a problem as you get," the president said.
"... if we had anticipated some of these political problems on both sides earlier, we might not have raised expectations as high", he added.
But dude, he's like, the smartest prez evah.......if he can't do it......
We’re willing to put ourselves on the line for this.
We just need you to stay focused and work hard too.
Together, we will ultimately win, and by 2012 hopefully defeat Liberals once and for all, driving them into absolute exile for the next 30 years if we are successful.
But, it really is going to take a lot of work, immense courage, and the drive to keep doing this each and every day, no matter what the Left hits back in return.
Who’s with us?
Take these three cheques totalling $30,000 that R&D hustled out the door without board approval.
None of them are for democracy building or freedom-fighting. True, some of the money went to Gaza, a theocratic, fascist failed statelet run by the Hamas terrorist organization. But the money didn’t go to help liberal Palestinians resist the terrorist gangs there, or to rebuild any semblance of civil society.
The money went to support anti-Israel propaganda campaigns.
Seriously. Read the cover letters that accompanied the money – your money.
It was to document Israeli “war crimes” during Israel’s war against Hamas.
So now you know why Michael Ignatieff has taken such a strong public stand in favour of R&D, and against Harper’s new appointments to the board of R&D, who are trying to reign in the rogue agency.

Doesn't this fabulous bag by JPK Paris just brighten your day and put a smile on your face? It is the 'Small Coco'nylon shopper and you can purchase it online at Nordstrom (they ship almost everywhere!!). The bag comes in five different colours and retails for $198USD. It makes me want to put on a great outfit and sit in a café while I read Robin Shepherd's A State Beyond the Pale.
If the pricetag on that one seems a bit steep check out the Sienna Ricci Nola Shopper:
This lavender wonder is available at Kohl's and is currently on sale for $55.30. It comes in four different colours. The only downside is that Kohl's can only ship within the US.
Ah nothing like a great handbag to lift the spirits.
Now he and Hillary are lifting the ban on extremist Muslim “scholars” who openly support and endorse Islamic terrorism, including Tariq Ramadan, whose grandfather, Hassan El-Banna, founded the Muslim Brotherhood (the mother organization to HAMAS, Yasser Arafat, Al-Qaeda, and Al-Qaeda mastermind Ayman Al-Zawahiri). This is the group that masterminded the assassination of Anwar Sadat and the shooting murders of tourists in the massacre at the Temples at Luxor. Ramadan is an open supporter of HAMAS and other Islamic terrorist groups. Plus, Ramadan worked for Iran!
Hellooooo . . . ? Did they learn NOTHING from Abdulmutallab’s near-murder of 300 American passengers over U.S. soil? Yes, apparently they did learn nothing. Un-frickin’-believable:

Events this week have demonstrated MTV's uncanny ability to pick complete losers to star in its reality tv shows. Maybe if their reality tv shows were not so trashy and morally bankrupt they would not have these problems.
Earlier this week TMZ reported that the mother of one of MTV's "Teen Mom's" had been charged with domestic assault after she choked and hit her daughter over the weekend.
According to cops, Farrah and Debra started arguing over childcare issues when Debra allegedly threw an MTV shirtat her daughter ... which landed "on or near" Farrah's baby, who started crying. That's when Farrah claims she went off on her mother -- who then grabbed Farrah by the throat. Farrah told cops she pushed her mother's hand away from her throat, causing her mother to strike her on the right side of her head and mouth.
Doesn't it warm your heart? Aren't you glad that MTV is promoting this teen-mom lifestyle to millions of hormonal teenagers? Spare me the 'you're crazy it was grandma not the mom' emails - when teen mom's are minors their parents have to sign on for them to do these shows. I can't think of too many 'normal' parents I know who would let their teenage daugher exploit her pregnancy and her child on national television for a few extra bucks.
Even more disturbing though is today's report that 'G's to Gents' (G is for gangsta) star Markice Kesan Moore is wanted for a disgusting and brutal beating of his infant daughter. TMZ:
Cops in Cobb County are on the hunt for Markice "Kesan" Moore, who is "accused of breaking both of his infant daughter's arms, one leg, 3 ribs, a collarbone and bruising all over her body."Kesan -- who is currently on Cobb County's most wanted list -- was eliminated during the fifth episode of "G's" season one.
It sounds like MTV should consider some programming on domestic abuse.
Warning: This video does contain some graphic content as the woman's hand is crushed.
'With further research, we hope to instil a change in attitude in teachers and parents, recognising the potential to use text-based exercises to engage children in phonological awareness activities.
'If we are seeing a decline in literacy standards among young children, it is in spite of text messaging, not because of it.'

"This is basically a summary of all the conversations you have had with your (sane) friends about the wussification of men in our times."
SMW recommends reading it and then forwarding it to all the real men in your life, along with a big THANK YOU for being a real man.
Earlier this year I attended a wedding and a friend introduced me to his son (who is about ten years old). After the introduction he looked firmly at his son and quietly asked him what the appropriate thing to do is when meeting someone. After a very brief deer-in-the-headlights moment the young boy immediately smiled and extended his hand to me - shaking my hand and firmly saying "it's nice to meet you." In ten years time the girls will be clawing each other's eyes out over this little gentleman.
JOS CAME under a dusk to dawn curfew on Sunday, imposed by the Plateau State Government, after the city returned to the boil when Muslim youths attacked Christians on their way to Saint Luke's Church in the Nasarawa Gwom neigbourhood.
No fewer than 10 persons were feared dead.
The state Christian Elders Consultative Forum (CECF) condemned the attack, describing it as Moslem terrorism on churches on the Plateau.
At least 12 Nigerians on Sunday were killed in clashes in the central city of Jos as tensions reignited between Muslims and Christian gangs,....
"As early as 4 a.m. (3:00 a.m. British time), we started hearing gunshots and machinegun fire and this has gone on for hours. I saw soldiers moving into town and I can see smoke coming from many places," said Dr. Aboi Madaki, who works at the Jos University Teaching Hospital.
A Red Cross spokesman said the agency was sending 10 workers from their Nigerian headquarters in Abuja to help reinforce their office in Jos.
This week's violence started after an argument over the rebuilding of homes destroyed in the 2008 clashes, the worst fighting between Muslims and Christians in years in Africa's most populous country.

The class system in Britian is rigid and social mobility is almost non-existant. However - forcing employers to hire kids from state schools is a terrible idea. There is a reason nobody wants to hire kids from state schools: they are disaster zones. If Britain was serious about tackling some of its current social problems there would be a massive overhaul of the education system. Teachers would be required to have some semi-decent qualifications, there would be rules that were actually enforced, the curriculum wouldn't read like watered-down daycare activities, kids would learn the real meaning of personal responsibility, they would not get stickers and points just for showing up to school and doing what is expected of normal well behaved children and then spend Friday afternoons singing ZippidyDooDa in the school gym after some fake awards ceremony to make them feel "special" (yes that really happens - I've seen it with my own eyes).
Instead, the solution of the British government is to try and force businesses to hire underqualified workers - a move that will surely perpetuate the incompetence that is rampant in today's Britain.

So let me get this straight, last spring hundreds of angry Tamil literally shut down parts of downtown Toronto (and a major highway) with the HELP of police and this was not disturbing the peace, but taking pictures of a public protest is??????????
If LGF (not to be confused with Little Green Footballs) complains about these asshats will they just tell she should be thankful she wasn't tasered? What a joke Toronto is becoming.
Keith Redpath, 46, was attacked in his bungalow before collapsing in the street outside.
He was taken to Sunderland Royal Infirmary after a passer-by called an ambulance. He died later from a single stab wound to his chest.
Two brothers have been charged with murder in connection with the incident.
Of course, if the father (who is the victim of this crime) had brandished a weapon of his own to scare the robbers away like Myleene Klaas did he would be the one in trouble with the police. Because in Britian you do not have the right to defend yourself.
And with this I bring in Monday morning's musical selection...

Since it was formed in 2002, Code Pink has openly sided with US enemies against the US and its allies. Evans and its other leaders have met with Hamas leaders in Gaza and Syria. They have visited with Hizbullah in Lebanon. They have met with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in New York and Teheran. They have supplied Iranian-backed insurgents in Iraq, and before the US-led invasion in 2003, they organized a solidarity-with-Saddam Hussein mission to Baghdad. And this month, fresh from Egypt and Gaza, Code Pink launched an advertising campaign on the Muslim Brotherhood's English-language Web site.
Well, guess what Canadian MP is now openly siding with Code Pink?
Irene Mathyssen (NDP) MP for London Fanshawe. SMW has a number of readers in this area - email this information to all your friends!
Mathyssen is not the only Canadian MP or public figure to be signing on with Code Pink and their Jew hating anti Israel anti Western we heart terror campaign. Pierre Trudeau's kid has signed up too. Pamela Geller at Atlas Shrugs has the list (you will need to scroll down a bit).
Oh and if any of my Canadian readers are wondering, Mathyssen can be contacted at:
Keep it polite.
Update: Moose and Squirrel hilites more Canadian signatories on the list....
SMW buys a copy of The Jewish Chronicle almost every week at the grocery store, but for those of you who may not have heard of it:
The world's oldest and most influential Jewish newspaper, the London-based Jewish Chronicle has a 164-year history of editorial independence. Its news and opinion pages reflect the entire spectrum of Jewish religious, social and political thought from left to right, Orthodox to secular while its arts and lifestyle coverage includes film, theatre, travel, cookery and youth & singles events.
Earlier today the site was hacked and below is part of the message put up on the homepage (as shown in screenshot at Blazing Cat Fur):
Aren't you ashamed of giving to tolerance to Jewish who is main actor of wars with being of children killers? Arent you ashamed of giving support to vampire who doesn't care any human life? Aren't you ashamed of showing respect to Jewish who makes revenge, hatred and rivality feelings between the people?
And of their taking usury when they were forbidden it, and of their devouring people's wealth by false pretenses. We have prepared for those who disbelieve a painful doom. (Nisa 161)
And incline not toward those who do wrong lest the Fire touch you, and ye have no protecting friends against Allah, and afterward ye would not be helped. (Hud 113)
Interesting little op-ed.
The JIDF has more:
The ironic thing is that the JC oftentimes seems to be on the side of those who hacked them! In any event, these "hackers" seem to be from Turkey (http://188.8.131.52)
YNet's website was also hacked just a few weeks ago. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm......a new pattern?

Rather than being permitted to judge the situation in Gaza for themselves, they were carted onto Hamas buses and taken on "devastation tours" of what their Hamas tour guides claimed was damage caused by the IDF during Operation Cast Lead. And then these international protesters were forced to participate in a Hamas-organized march to the Erez crossing.
As Hass tells it, in "a slap to many feminist organizers and participants," no Palestinian women were allowed to participate in the march, which "turned into nothing more than a ritual, an opportunity for Hamas cabinet ministers to get decent media coverage in the company of Western demonstrators."
But they didn't really mind. Reacting to her effective imprisonment in the Hamas-owned hotel, one of the demonstrators, an American woman named Poya Pakzad, cooed on her blog that the Commodore Hotel was "the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at, in my life."

Code Pink, for instance, is welcome at the Obama White House. Its leader Evans was an official fund-raiser for Barack Obama's presidential campaign. Evans visited the White House after travelling to Gaza last June. While there she met with Hamas leaders who gave her a letter for Obama. Evans met Obama himself at a donor dinner in San Francisco last October where, while standing in front of cameras, she gave him documents she received in Afghanistan, where she met with Taliban officials.
American readers please forward this article to all fellow patriots.
Remember Obama said he wanted transparency....
Update: Natasha, over at MooseandSquirrel, posted an interesting little tidbit about a group calling for an FBI investigation into Code Pink. With Eric Holder running the justice in this 'nation of cowards' I would not hold my breath - but that doesn't mean people should not try! Let's get the truth out about these scumbags. Knowledge is power and stuff.

The plan, if approved by Congress, would levy the tax on up to 50 financial services companies based on the total size of their liabilities. White House officials estimates it will raise at least $90bn over the next decade and wrest back for the taxpayer the money given the banks as part of the $700bn Troubled Asset Relief Programme (TARP).
Mr Obama said the move is aimed at preventing Wall Street firms from going back to "business as usual"...
Um yeah that should do it.
"My determination to achieve this goal is only heightened when I see reports of massive profits and obscene bonuses at the very firms who owe their continued existence to the American people."
Hey you know who actually does owe their existence to the American people...
I need a drink.

Read it again-there are criminal charges pending against a politician-a public figure (although certainly private citizens are not exempt from these trumped up Orwellian charges) for the following:
-calling for a ban on something
-allegedly 'discriminating' against something by stating an opinion and by wanting to ban a book and have tighter border controls
These charges are absolutely terrifying.
Nobody in North America should ignore this story. Even if you don't agree with Wilders-you have to realize that the speech being censored next could be yours.

Meet the guy who thwarted a plane bombing and put out the explosives with his bare hands.
This guy should be on more magazine covers than Brangelina.
The Liberals think our soldiers are war criminals. The Conservatives think our soldiers are war heroes.
Which side are you on?
SMW stands behind Canada's troops and is so proud of her friends and family who have served in Canada's armed forces.
If you are like me and you support Canadian troops you absolutely need to click here to read Ezra's post about the Liberal smear campaign against Canadian troops.
Teaser: If the Liberals want to make the moral conduct of our troops their issue, I say bring it on. In a sour, arrogant, fake, scowling, pompous absentee tourist named Michael Ignatieff, they couldn't find a more fitting spokesman for their anti-Canada message.
Why does it matter that the UK has banned Islam4UK? What is important is not that Islam4UK was banned - but why it was banned. Choudary and his goons were pushing the envelope for months without consequence, however when they announced their plans to march through Wootton Bassett carrying fake coffins the British people (apparently there still are a few left) said ENOUGH. The last time I remember this much public outrage in Britain is Sachsgate (when Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross called the beloved British actor and made lurid jokes about his grand-daughter). With an election not far off and support for Labour sinking faster than the Titanic the government could use a little goodwill from the public. Banning a terror supporting group that is abhorred by the British people is a small way to say "we hear you and we are standing up to extremists." And this is why it matters - because the outrage in Britain forced the government's hand.
Unfortunately banning Islam4UK is a grand gesture of little consequence. Anjem Choudary is relishing the spotlight and, as The Jawa Report indicated today, Islam4UK's website is still up and running. This group has been around the block before, and whether they are called Islam4UK or St. Trinian's4Shariah they will continue to operate. The government has taken a stand (ahem) against this group before, exiling their leader Omar Bakri Mohammed, which seemed to have little if any impact. Today's newspapers are full of headlines about Islam4UK - with particular attention being paid to Choudary's threat of terror attacks as retaliation for the banning. Many editorials are questioning the government's decision to ban the group.
The UK is losing the battle against extremism and terror. Banning Islam4UK is a symbolic move of little consequence. The same day this news was announced an EU court ruled that the UK's anti-terror stop and search laws are illegal. These laws allow(ed) police to stop and search individuals without grounds - for example as they were entering the tube station. A friend of mine was searched under these laws at Finsbury Park tube station. After the police searched him they handed him a leaflet explaining the legislation under which he was searched, then told him he was selected because they needed a white person so they could avoid being accused of profiling. If this is how Britain plans to fight terror, by enacting laws and then wasting their time searching people they do not find suspicious simply because they are afraid someone will cry raaaaaaaaaaacist they might as well put up the white flag now.
Today the newspapers report the banning of Islam4UK. The next time a terror attack occurs in the UK (because sadly one likely will), many of these papers will carry editorials analyzing its cause. Just as editorials and op-eds on the 7/7 bombings used Britain's relationship with the Great Satan (America) and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to rationalize the jihadi mindset, you will likely read pieces lamenting the British government's treatment of minorities - and perhaps the banning of Islam4UK will come up alongside accusations that these young men were forced 'underground' where they were 'radicalized' because they could no longer 'express themselves.' For every group the government bans, another groups exists - Hizb ut Tahrir is fully operational and London faces no shortage of hate spewing radicals or Anwar al Awlaki supporting "charities". And this is why banning Islam4UK does not matter.
But Britain also has citizens who find all of this a bit overwhelming. People who are saying enough is enough. People who could not contain their outrage at the thought of extremists making a mockery of the sacred place where the bodies of Britain's brave soldiers are repatriated. People who pushed the government to take action - and this is why banning Islam4UK matters.

Massive public outcry following Anjem Choudary's announcement that Islam4UK was going to march at Wootton Bassett seems to have finally pushed the dhimmi UK government into banning Islam4UK.
The Islamist group which provoked outrage with its plan to march through Wootton Bassett will be banned, Home Secretary Alan Johnson has announced.
The order will come into effect on Thursday and make it a criminal offence to be a member, punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Mr Johnson said the group had tried to escape proscription simply by changing its name.
He said the order would apply to the group's other names, including Al Muhajiroun.
He said: "I have ... laid an order which will proscribe Al Muhajiroun, Islam4UK, and a number of the other names the organisation goes by. It is already proscribed under two other names - Al Ghurabaa and The Saved Sect.
"Proscription is a tough but necessary power to tackle terrorism and is not a course we take lightly.
"We are clear that an organisation should not be able to circumvent proscription by simply changing its name."
What will mediawhore Anjem Choudary do now? His interview with the Daily Caller (posted today) should give him some of the attention he so desperately craves. At least for a few days. Timing is everything.
Expect members of this group to be popping up in other groups with different names after a 'quiet period.'
There is an election coming up which may or may not have had something to do with this move since Islam4UK have been back in action and doing despicable things (including verbally attacking British soldiers as they return from Aghanistan) for quite some time. Rusty Shackleford of the Jawa Report wrote of their return to action several months ago - and highlighted their links to Al Muhajiroun.
BANNED. Now let's see the government enforce it.

But even though there will be no penalties for companies that ignore the guidelines, health officials say they think some manufacturers may be motivated to make changes.
“They all fully recognize that sodium is a major health problem that they need to address,” said the city’s health commissioner, Dr. Thomas Farley.
Seventeen national health organizations and 25 other city or state health agencies have joined with New York City in the effort, called the National Salt Reduction Initiative. It aims to reduce the average American’s salt intake by 20 percent in five years.
-The Daily Caller
Yes many people eat too much salt, but we do not need the government to control what we eat. NannyFoods. I am trying to imagine a world where we are no longer allowed to grocery shop. Where citizens just visit the Government Food Office once a week to collect their food allowance as determined by government officials. Hey that kind of sounds like Cuba....
Six gunpoint robbery attempts take place in NYC, where the robbers target Jews and launch anti-Semitic slurs at their victims. "The attacks...were motivated by anti-Semitism." Where is the big news coverage? Oh wait, they were targeting Jews??? Silly me, I forgot they do not meet current victim requirements.

Israel's complaint came, ironically, shortly before US Middle East envoy George Mitchell heaped praise on Fayyad and Abbas Wednesday night during a US television interview.
Twice during the interview, on the Charlie Rose show, Mitchell called Fayyad an "impressive leader" and said that he and Abbas represented "strong and effective leadership for the Palestinian people."
Israel, in direct calls from the Prime Minister's Office to the White House and the State Department, has complained about both men.
The complaint against Abbas had to do with his sponsorship in late December of a ceremony celebrating the 50th birthday of Dalal Mughrabi, the terrorist who directed the 1978 Coastal Road Massacre, the worst terrorist attack in the country's history, where gunmen hijacked a bus and murdered 37 people, including 10 children. Mughrabi was killed during the attack.
On her recent birthday, the governor of Ramallah named a town square after her. A huge banner at the ceremony read, "Under the auspices of President Mahmoud Abbas, The Political and National Education Authority Ceremony on the anniversary of the birth of the bride of the cosmos, the shahida [martyr] Dalal Mughrabi."
Yes, Obama's administration praises the terror glorifying Abbas while threatening to cut aid to Israel.
When will American Jews wake up to this reality???

Miss Klass, 31, who was alone in her house in Potters Bar, Herts, with her two-year-old daughter, Ava, called the police. When they arrived at her house they informed her that she should not have used a knife to scare off the youths because carrying an "offensive weapon" – even in her own home – was illegal.
Jonathan Shalit, Miss Klass's agent, said that had been "shaken and utterly terrified" by the incident and was stepping up security at the house she shares with her fiancé, Graham Quinn, who was away on business at the time.
He said: "Myleene was aghast when she was told that the law did not allow her to defend herself in her own home. All she did was scream loudly and wave the knife to try and frighten them off.
When do I get to leave this country???
What is unusual in this case, however, is that MPs are suggesting their presence in the capital will represent a protest of Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s decision to suspend Parliament until March, when a new budget will be brought down. Liberal House leader Ralph Goodale suggests the Conservatives’ move “borders on despotic behaviour,” and the Liberals will be on hand to make that case to anyone willing to listen. There is talk of “unofficial” committee meetings, even though witnesses could not be compelled to attend and would not enjoy the same level of legal protection.
In other words, the Liberals are considering more of the pointless political stunts that have alienated voters and damaged the party’s image as a viable alternative to the Conservatives. And all of it will be soaked in hypocrisy: As National Post columnist Rex Murphy writes elsewhere on these pages, the Liberals themselves have played games far worse than Mr. Harper’s — even shutting down a judicial inquiry into a killing — when they were in power, and it suited their partisan interests.
Voters may say that they oppose Mr. Harper’s decision to prorogue Parliament — if a pollster calls them at home and puts the question to them. And some youths may even put up Facebook pages denouncing the Tory tactic. But public interest in the issue is thin and fleeting. Mr. Ignatieff will be overplaying his hand if, once back from his current European vacation, he makes a gimmicky spectacle of himself in Ottawa.
Three men were on Saturday in police custody after being arrested by armed police at London's Heathrow airport on suspicion of making a bomb threat.
Officers boarded the Emirates flight, bound for Dubai, after a "verbal threat was made to staff" as the plane was taxiing shortly before take-off late Friday, London's Metropolitan Police said.
Three men aged 58, 48 and 36 were held but a search of the plane, which was carrying 331 passengers, uncovered nothing suspicious. The airliner has now been handed back to Emirates.
"They have been arrested on suspicion of making a bomb threat," police added.
Sky News television reported that the men arrested were English and appeared to be drunk. The airport -- the world's busiest international air hubs -- remained open during the incident.

This morning SMW read on Blazing Cat Fur that Mads Gilbert (who call himself a doctor, and who is in fact a medical doctor but I refuse to put Dr. in front of his name) is doing a tour of Canadian and American universities this month, where no doubt he will be spewing anti Semitic, pro terror lies.
BCF has provided this link to his tour schedule, which starts on 19 January in Ottawa and includes stops across the country and in Chicago and New York.
Who is Mads Gilbert? After you have checked out BCF's link, check out the below.
Gilbert is a radical Marxist and a member of the political Red (Rodt) party, a revolutionary socialist party in Norway. He has been a pro-Palestinian activist since the 1970's and travelled to Lebanon in support of the Palestinians during the first Lebanon war in 1982. He has long been a vocal opponent of Israel and the U.S. Gilbert has acknowledged that he cannot separate politics from medicine, stating, "there is little in medicine that is not politics." He even criticizes the group Doctors Without Borders for providing medical assistance to both sides in a conflict instead of taking a strong stance and supporting only one party.
That is not all CAMERA has to say about Mads. Click the link above to read about his support for 9/11.
NGO Monitor, an Israeli human rights watchdog group, says Gilbert presents one-sided criticism of Israel to the media and has accused Israel of deliberately targeting civilians in its Gaza offensive to stop Hamas from firing rockets into Israel.
In addition to being supportive of the terrorist organization Hamas, Gilbert has voiced support for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
Gerald Steinberg, executive director of NGO Monitor, said Gilbert's characterization of the situation in Gaza is "in the form of incitement of hatred."
Many of you may also remember the video that circulated last year, featuring Mads Gilbert trying to save the life of an injured Palestinian child which ended up being pulled by several news channels after wide reports that it was in a fake.
Note: Hey, it might be a good idea for you to forward this link (or any of the links above) to students you know attending the universities listed on the tour. You know, so they don't go to this talk and believe Gilbert's garbage just because he calls himself a doctor and doctor's are supposed to be like smart and honest and stuff.

Yeah, I know. We Canadians don't have much to brag about -- thanks mostly to the policies enacted by those same Liberals.
I've been hearing this stupid story all my life. Here's the problem:
Not all of us are spoiled middle class kiddies who got to go to frickin' EUROPE over our summer vacations.
We didn't have summer vacations, actually. We were the ones popping your popcorn at the movies and waiting on you at the mall, working minimum wage jobs while you got to take three or four months off.
See: our parents didn't make enough money to pay us to ponce all over the place and pretend to look at a bunch of old statues and "learn about other cultures" when we were really just getting drunk and getting laid.
Click here to read the rest of Kathy's rant.
I also found this MapleLeaf backpack thing hilarious. When I tell people in the UK I am Canadian, more often than not, the response I get is: "Oh so you're from Canadia?"
Plane bomber was recruited by Al Qaeda in London
And Whitehall's reaction: furious. Their heads are so far below the sand they've hit water.
Dagestan, a mountainous republic tucked on the western edge of the Caspian Sea, is an ethnically diverse and oil-rich region that has been rent by tensions from rising Islamism and clan power struggles.Wednesday's explosion shattered windows and damaged roofs for more than a mile around. Investigators poring over the bomb crater concluded that the assailant had been carrying artillery shells equivalent to more than 200 pounds of TNT.

Increasingly, members of Canada’s baby boom generation are facing these ongoing family expenses. An Investors Group survey of Canadian boomers released Tuesday revealed that six-in-ten boomer parents are providing financial support to their adult children, to the tune of approximately $3,675 per year.
Enough already! The expectations of young married couples (and singletons) have soared far beyond unrealistic, and yes, I am talking about my own generation - the generation of no accountability and few consequences. Not so long ago it was generally accepted that once married, a couple had to learn to stand on their own two feet. Not only was this accepted, it was thought to be a good thing. Learning to budget, pay your own bills, take care of your family, living within your means were all part of being married and accepting adult responsibility. I do not think there was a generation before mine where people thought they could get married and immediately afford a house, two cars, vacations, plasma TVs and three course dinners 7 nights a week. Sadly, instead of snuffing out these bloated expectations many parents are enabling their spoiled children by slipping them cash whenever the puppy eyes come out. Some parents don't even need the puppy eyes before their money nosedives into the hands of their kids. Why is this?? Why are parents afraid to say no? Have parents fallen for the idea that their kids have a right to have everything? Maybe parents remember how hard they work for what they have, and want to 'treat' their kids. But have they forgotten that it was hard work and discipline which enabled them to become who they are now? When mom and dad run out of money you can be sure these kids will turn to the government for additional handouts.
The other part of this I cannot understand is married men allowing their parents (or their inlaws) to fill their piggy banks. Is this part of girly man syndrome?? Honestly. I would rather eat Kraft Dinner five nights a week than know that my father (or father in law) was slipping my husband money so we could eat prime rib. Where is the self respect that comes from standing on your own two feet?
Of course there are always exceptional circumstances where one may need to borrow or accept money from their parents, but these are few and far between. Once you are finished school, and/or married, you need to take the apron strings and burn them. Burn. Them.
oh wait, it is the Egyptions? Sorry, I thought you said Israeli.
Various locations of Winners and Homesense in Ontario (maybe elsewhere too) have been carrying a decent assortment of Ahava products at incredible prices! Over the holidays SMW made a quick trip to Canada and, on the recommendation of a friend, checked out her local HomeSense. What a pleasant surprise! Great products at excellent prices. Check it out. Shop Ahava.

Yep, from beating up his wife in London to getting serenaded by Beyonce in St. Barths.
Read other guests at the show on the HotAir link above. I guess when you can afford private jets innocent people getting blown up on commercial airliners is of little consequence.
Nile Gardiner offers up a little foreign policy advice to Tory leader David Cameron in the WSJ:
Mr. Cameron should avoid embarking down the same engagement path traveled by Mr. Obama, which has succeeded only in emboldening America's enemies and weakening U.S. strategic power. He should forthrightly defend political dissidents who are fighting for freedom, from Moscow to Harare to Tehran, and studiously eschew the appeasement of tyrants. A Conservative administration must also advance a free trade agenda that supports the growth of economic liberty around the world, and confronts protectionist policies on both sides of the Atlantic.
SMW is ready for the onslaught of winter and has all Canadian gear necessary to get out and show you what's going on should the foretold snow come to fruition.
There will be some cold jihadis tonight.
How do I nominate this guy for Airport Security Czar???
Don't worry about the six truckloads of missing weapons, or the Yemeni army machine gunning protestors who want freedom of the press, or those guys responsible for the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole who are still out running around despite the recent death of yet another Marine from the ship.
Everything is fine. Really.

A letter written by Ehsanullah Ehsan, director of the Afghan-Canadian Community Centre in Kandahar:
To the Highest Esteemed Families of Ms. Michelle Lang, Sgts. George Miok, Kirk Taylor, Cpl. Zachery McCormack, and Pte. Garrett Chidley,
I am writing to extend my deepest sympathies to you, the families of Ms. Michelle Lang, Sgts. George Miok, Kirk Taylor, Cpl. Zachery McCormack, and Pte. Garrett Chidley, and the government and the great people of Canada, on behalf of the Afghan men, women children who have been given the chance to live a peaceful and prosperous life by virtue of the ultimate sacrifices paid by the Canadian men and women in uniform serving in Afghanistan. As an Afghan who has had the privilege of aiding in the reconstruction of Afghanistan, I was deeply saddened and outraged to hear that the soul of such heroic figures had departed this world, but deeply believe that their spirit will live on forever in the legacy of honor, dignity and integrity that they left for the Afghan people, the Canadians and the world at large. May you know that your grief is deeply shared by all of us. With every such tragic loss, we bleed in our hearts.
Please click on this link to read the entire letter, then forward the link in memory of these fine men and this outstanding woman.
Kafeel Ahmed, who died of horrific burns after driving a Jeep packed with gas canisters into Glasgow airport in 2007, had been president of the Islamic society at Queen's University, Belfast.
Read the whole thing at The Telegraph.
The only thing I'm not really sure about here is why challenging the theory of evolution is thrown into the same bag as killing homosexuals and terrorism, but that is another discussion for another time.
And I bet you can't guess who most of these student groups have ties to....
Via The Telegraph:
The world's most powerful investment bank has asked an internal team to examine various strategies, including whole divisions being uprooted and taken offshore.
The review, which is in its very early stages, could also recommend making no changes to the status quo. The review is a blow to government efforts to sustain the Square Mile as a global financial centre.
Before the government instituted this ridiculous Bonus Tax did they consider how to make up for the 1.1.BILLION POUNDS Goldman paid in corporate taxes annually??? That is not to mention the millions of pounds in income tax GS staff also pays.
The election cannot come soon enough, but I fear it will make little difference.

I have returned to London from the Canadian wilderness (with a few stops along the way, including Toronto and the U.S of A) and am back online. No doubt any of you not living under a rock heard about the 'undie bomber'. SMW will not be rehashing the whole affair - if you want to read about it check out Jawa Report. During the past few weeks I crossed into the US (by land) on more than one occasion and did not notice any increase in security (sadly). Maybe this is because I am white and blond? Oh but wait, the United States does not profile....
I flew on 2 international flights and again noticed ZERO increase in security (in fact, it seemed quite relaxed). Keep in mind these flights were not going in, out of, or over the US. SMW did get a good look at the new security measures for US bound flights and had a chat with one of the security officials who had been implementing them - very interesting stuff. Definitely better than before but I still have serious doubts that this is the most effective way to try and stop people from blowing up planes. All I know is that the security officials working these lines will have buns of steel after constantly bending up and down to frisk people during the 10-12 hours shifts they were called in to work over the holidays.
SquareMileWife will be back to business as usual on Monday. Taking the weekend to get up to speed so posting will be light-ish.
Check out BCF's report on the Nazi and Hamas loving Jew hate march that recently took place in Toronto. The group's organizing this march are funded with tax dollars. No joke. Read the report and write your letters to the MPs listed.
Wishing you and your family all the best in 2010,
