Me! Me! Me! Is usually not a good idea.

When Stéphane Dion won the Labour leadership several years ago many Labour insiders were not happy. Some long-time Labour supporters and campaigners I know even refused to work on campaigns for the Liberal Party during his leadership. "If only Ignatieff had won," they moaned. Well it did not take long before their dream became reality, and Ignatieff was head of the Liberal Party. The problem is, Ignatieff's leadership has not been any more successful than Dion's. The man seems desperately out of touch (maybe that's why he feels such a bond with Obama), arrogant, and frankly, irrelevant. Does he know this? Is this why he desperately tries to make everything about him, to prove he is relevant to Canadians despite having not lived here for most of the past three decades?
