Society of No Consequences

When administrators are too lazy and too scared to deal with students appropriately, you get this:

The student screamed at her: "I don't have to listen to you; you are not a person, you are nothing, you do not exist as a person." When Miriam demanded he accompany her to the principal's office, the student followed her down the hall yelling, "Don't speak to me, don't look at me, you are not human, you are a Jew."
Although the student was ultimately suspended for 10 days, his parents expressed puzzlement about the punishment since, they patiently explained, the teacher was after all Jewish. They complained about the severity of the punishment to the school board.
There were no sensitivity courses laid on for the students or the parents. When, over her objections, the offending student and another guilty of the same offence were returned to Miriam's class, she decided she could no longer work under such circumstances. She contacted the Hate Crime Unit of the local police and reported everything.

Aid Workers Kidnapped by....Al Qaeda?

Three Spanish aid workers were kidnapped in Mauritiana on Sunday. AQIM (Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb) is suspected of kidnapping the workers.

Don't think I'll be heading that way any time soon.

Guess who's coming to dinner.....

Just in case you have been drowning in turkey, stuffing and apple cider all weekend, or have been busy trying to figure out exactly what happened to Tiger Woods, and as a result have missed this story...

Gateway Pundit reports on the White House crashers' ties to radical Rashid Khalidi and his role at American Task Force on Palestine (which, you can probably guess, is not Israel, Jew or American friendly).

Debbie Schlussel has a very interesting report on how the NY Times changed its own reporting of the story, after their original reports clearly showed Salahi's ties to "Pro Palestinian Terror Group." Check it out.

Excerpt from Debbie Schlussel:
And it looks like the NYTimes gives good lessons in whitewashing to the ATFP, which also scrubbed all references to Salahi from its site. We wouldn’t want any Americans thinking that Palestinians who support terrorism against innocent people would actually crash a White House party, now would we? Sad that I have to reference the far-left, but only Talking Points Memo bothered to capture the scrubbed ATFP page, below. Too bad they didn’t do a screen save of the New York Times article, too. There’s a whole lotta Formula 409 and Comet being put to use over this strange and calculating couple.

This story is just beyond strange. It is deeply disturbing that anyone, anyone, could get into the White House and stand next to the President and other dignitaries. Yes, Obama has many radical connections and friends, but these two supposedly are not part of that group: they were not invited. The Secret Service is insisting these people went through metal detectors, but so what? What was stopping them from stuffing a knife or sharp object into their breastpocket once inside and using it to harm officials, or worst case scenario, the President? What about chemical weapons? What if nothing at all happened and someone was just using this as a recon trip for a future attack?

A very bad day for the Secret Service.

The fruits of appeasement: Iran plans 10 new nuclear sites

And threatens to end 'cooperation' with atomic watchdog.

The Times:
The move comes just two days after world powers united in condemnation of Iran’s nuclear activities in a rare show of international consensus on the threat posed by Tehran’s continued nuclear defiance.
China and Russia joined the United States, Britain, France and Germany in backing an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) resolution censuring Iran and ordering it to halt construction of a secret uranium enrichment plant near Qom.
The Iranian announcement came on the same day the national Parliament responded to the IAEA condemnation by calling on the Government to prepare a plan on reducing cooperation with the UN body.

All hail the new era of American diplomacy.

What were they thinking? EasyJet uses Holocaust Memorial for promotional photoshoot

When I saw this headline I thought it might be a joke. It's not.

The Local (English language German newspaper):
The November edition of “easyJet Traveller,” which features a fashion section with fashion models in provocative poses amid the pillars of the sombre monument to the six million Jews killed by the Nazis, in addition to shots taken at the city's Jewish Museum, has sparked outrage in the British and Israeli press. According to the paper, easyJet issued a statement apologising to anyone who may have been offended by the magazine spread, explaining that it had been produced by an external advertising agency.Meanwhile a spokesperson for the Foundation for the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe told the paper that the agency did not register to take the photographs at the site in central Berlin.

Someone in PR at EasyJet needs to start looking for a new job. The attempt to pass the buck here is ridiculous - the photoshoot may have been outsourced but no magazine is ever published without being reviewed by managing and senior editors.

Flying on EasyJet:
Cheap, but their flights seem to never leave on time which is why SMW has only used the airline once.

Visiting the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin:

PR damage caused when EasyJet published fashion shoot photos taken at the Holocaust Memorial not long after they began offering flights between London and Tel Aviv:

Square Mile Alert: "one of the most political documents I've ever seen..."

The European Commission (the EU's law making apparatus) is going after hedge funds as the root of all financial evils. Unfortunately they are not the root of evil, but an easy target for political purposes.

Stephen Fidler writes in the WSJ:

The crisis originated with banks, the traditional and supposedly the most heavily regulated sector of the financial economy. Hedge funds, as Adair Turner, chairman of the U.K. Financial Services Authority, found, "did not play a significant role in the crisis."
But that hasn't stopped some European governments and politicians from behaving as if they had. Hence the proposed legislation on alternative investment funds that is currently meandering its way through the European Union law-making machine. The original proposal that came out of the European Commission in April was "one of the most political documents I've ever seen come out of here," said one commission official.
The reason it was so political, according to this person and others, that the funds were long-standing betes noires of the French and German governments and heartily hated by many members of the European Parliament. The funds were viewed on the continent as extending their malign tentacles into the European economic fabric from their lairs in London and New York.

The glories of universal health care: Another reason why I will not use the NHS

The Telegraph:
As long ago as 2001, conditions at Basildon were described as “Third World” by the Royal College of Nursing because of a shortage of beds. Then, in 2004, Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was fined for failing to control the risk of legionnaire’s disease after a patient contracted the illness — weeks later tests showed the legionella bacteria were still present.
Last year, more than 200 new mothers were offered HIV tests after the Trust discovered that a member of staff who had delivered their babies was HIV positive, and in April this year a three-year-old girl died in the paediatric ward after intravenous drip bags were found to have been sabotaged. In 2007, the Trust admitted being at fault in the case of a child who was left disabled after she was starved of oxygen when she was born at Basildon Hospital in 2001.

...
The Trust was not effectively decontaminating reusable equipment and A&E was not clean — 11 out of 12 trolley mattresses checked were stained and two had a foul odour. Half of the curtains that separated cubicles were soiled, some with blood.
There were few nurses with paediatric training, and no consultant with a paediatric interest.
Overall, nurses were not always conducting a full set of patient checks, which could result in failure to recognise a patient was deteriorating.
Complaints about nursing care included failure to monitor, feed and give drugs correctly, and twice as many patients suffered bed sores than the national average.

Use the NHS at your own risk.

I'll take Anti-Semitism for 400....

Britain's former ambassador wrote the following in The Independent on Sunday:

Both Gilbert and Freedman are Jewish, and Gilbert at least has a record of active support for Zionism. Such facts are not usually mentioned in the mainstream British and American media, but The Jewish Chronicle and the Israeli media have no such inhibitions, and the Arabic media both in London and in the region are usually not far behind.

Who is Oliver Miles, Britain's former ambassafor to.........Libya. (Shocker).

For the Daily Double you may be asking who are these guys and why does it matter?
Gilbert and Freedman are members of the Chilcot inquiry (the inquiry into Britain's involement in the war in Iraq). Melanie Phillips picks up the ball on this one and lambasts Miles' pathetic writings:

Sir Martin Gilbert is one of Britain’s most distinguished historians, while Sir Lawrence Freedman also enjoys a stellar reputation as a professor of war studies. That is why they were appointed to the inquiry. But to Miles, they are suspect not just because Gilbert once compared Bush and Blair to Roosevelt and Churchill while Freedman was the supposed architect of intervention in Kosovo and Afghanistan (hello?) as well as Iraq (so it was All His Fault) but because they are Jews -- and even worse Gilbert supports Zionism.
This would appear to be part of the ‘Jewish conspiracy’ theory so fashionable in the UK intelligentsia that the war in Iraq only occurred as a result of pressure from a trans-national Jewish conspiracy acting in the interests of Israel to put the world at risk. The fact that Israel in fact advised at the time that it was Iran they were worried about rather than Iraq does not trouble the propounders of this malevolent libel.

The fact that a former representative of the British government - can write such brazen and ridiculous anti-Semitic garble, and that newspapers would actually publish it, should send chills up your spine.

"At first I thought it might just be some weird glitch": Warman tries to control the message

Seeing as Warman originally tried to go after the wrong media outlet for publishing this article, one has to wonder if he knew the kid that wrote it was only 17? (And that is not to say that the author does not know what he is talking about, it just looks a little David and Goliath). The ensuing events are what one would expect in a message control battle/censorship battle between multiple parties.

Some people never learn.

Very fishy: Fawad Nouri escapes from police custody

Hmmmm a 'jailbreak' with an unpleasant twist:

The two men carried handguns and wore surgical masks and sweatshirt hoods pulled low over their faces. They jumped the guards, knocked them to the ground, then ushered the prisoner into the guards' van and took off.Yesterday's escape was so well planned and played out it has police wondering how the prisoner knew ahead of time he was going to the General, when those appointments are usually not discussed with inmates in advance.

Hopefully Nouri and his accomplices will be back in jail soon, where they clearly belong. As The Spec and police have said - these men are considered armed and dangerous - if you see them do not approach - call the police.

SMW is on the ground, and SEALS are heading for the Courts

SMW is back from the North Country and glad to be safe on the ground. My it is a blustery day.

One of the stories I have been reading up on is the decision to prosecute three Navy SEALS. This is definitely worth reading up on. Below are two reports worth checking out (no point in me repeating other people's words):

Do you know who funds the academics at your school?

No surprise here:

The paper said that the multimillion-dollar Alavi Foundation had given hundreds of thousands of dollars to programs at Columbia University and Rutgers University for Middle Eastern and Persian studies that employ anti-Israel professors "sympathetic" to the Islamic republic.
"We found evidence that the government of Iran really controlled everything about the foundation," the New York Post quoted Adam Kaufmann, investigations chief at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, as saying.
Feds are working to seize up to $650 million in assets from the Alavi Foundation, which they say also provides funds to a syndicate of Iranian spies based in Europe, the newspaper added.
The New York Post cited one of the biggest donations as being $100,000 to Columbia after the university hosted Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Where am I?

SMW is currently away on business and thought the blog would still flow, but it turns out the wireless connection at my hotel is not very good. Sorry. Will post when possible but may be very little until Tuesday.

Yesterday I was getting blown about in a wee plane and it was not fun!

Please remember to keep the people of Cumbria in your prayers (no that is not where SMW is) after they experienced some heavy flooding yesterday. Also please remember the family of PC Bill Barker, a 25 year veteran of the force, who was killed as he worked to rescue victims of the flooding. May he rest in peace.

G20 summit moving to Toronto from Muskoka?

Heh heh. I was really wondering how the heck they would be able to pull something like this off in Huntsville. Now CTV and the G&M are saying it's off, well sort of.

Supposedly the G8 is still going to have some kind of meeting there - it is really hard to imagine how officials can "secure" a small town surrounded by lakes, forests and hills. Good luck.

I guess this is good news and bad news, depending on whether you live in the Muskoka area or in Toronto.

Square Mile Alert: Slippery Slope....

Alright saving my comments until I hear what is actually said......but have a look at what The Telegraph thinks will be put forward in the Queen's Speech today:

The new rules will come into force next year if the Financial Services Bill passes through Parliament before the next general election, which must be held before June 3. Lord Myners, the City minister, has said he's confident that the bill will be passed.
The Bill also proposes:
* FSA to be given power to tear up existing contracts if pay packages incentivise risk
* Consumers will be allowed to launch class action suits
* A ban on unrequested credit card cheques
* The FSA to establish a consumer education agency
* A new Council of Financial Stability
* An advice service to give consumers direct help

Channel 4 (no, not the one from Detroit) and the Big bad Joooooos

Channel 4 has been airing an alleged documentary about the "Israel Lobby" in the UK. Conspiracy theories abound. I have to confess I do not watch tv (seriously, we do not have tv channels in my house) so I have not seen the program. However, I have read a great deal of the online comments made about "Dispatches" and I find them full of typical anti-Semitic ignorance.

Jonathan Hoffman and Chas Newkey-Burden have written extensively on Dispatches, their pieces are worth checking out.

Newky-Burden writes:
Because where is this all-powerful Israeli lobby? Why did it not manage to convince the UK to veto the Goldstone report at the UN? How did it fail to stop the UK from starting an arms embargo on Israel? How did it allow our Foreign Minister to attack Operation Cast Lead as ‘disproportionate’, or the UK to finance the Breaking The Silence organisation? As for media activism, if the Israeli lobby had the power it is ascribed, it would have stopped the widespread and routine distortions years ago. Oborne couldn’t find an all-powerful lobby, so he tried to create a false impression of one. It’s the same make-believe world [John] Snow inhabits with his “pretty pathetic” Hamas rockets.

It is not surprising that the CST is concerned about some of the comments spurred by Dispatches:

“It won’t change anything. Most of the British public are too stupid to realise how important this programme is. We are being attacked from within by fifth columns in our parliament for this murderous regime. Time to put a stop to the influence they have over our lives and the lives of our troops they send to fight for their ideals in the Middle East once and for all.”NO BLINKERS ON on 15 November 2009 at 07:30

“It is disgraceful that C4 is intending to expose the pro-Israel lobby. Surely it is a signatory to the "National Press & TV Zionist Agreement", which stipulates in paragraph one: "Thou shalt not print nor broadcast any reference to the undemocratic control by the agents of Israel over the House of Commons &/or the House of Lords."TIMOTHY WILLIAMS on 14 November 2009 at 17:50

"The powerful impact of the Zionist Lobby on British politics is more damaging to our country than that of the ghastly BNP."VERONICA PLANTON on 07 November 2009 at 23:18
[SMW: Google Veronica Planton and you will find her signature on numerous anti-Israel petitions. Shocker.]

You can read further quotes on The JC's website.

Dispatches was made and broadcast by the same channel that had Mahmoud Ahmedinejad deliver last year's 'alternative Christmas message'. And if THAT does not prove to you the true power of the Israel Lobby than you must be blinded by the lies the super sekrit Zionist groups are spreading.

Turn off Channel 4.

US and Canadian Terrorists Abroad *updated*

Sounds strange but appears to be coming more likely. Rusty Shackleford, of The Jawa Report, has written an informative piece for Pajamas Media about the recent arrest of two men in Chicago who now appear to have links to the Mumbai terror attacks which took place last November. One of the men arrested, David Headley, allegedly visited Mumbai and posed as a Jew in order to gain access to Chabad House. Disgusting.
Rusty writes:
Indian news media now reports that Headley pretended to be Jewish in order to gain access to the house.
These reports perfectly match the pattern set forth in the federal indictments against Headley and his co-conspirator Tahawar Rana. Headley goes abroad posing as a businessman. He scouts the locations of possible targets for terror attacks. He lies in order to enter targeted buildings. He then passes on that information to his Pakistan-based contacts.

Canadian news networks are also reporting that India's nuclear sites have been put on high alert after the government learned details relating to the arrests of David Headley and Tahawwur Hussain Rana (a Canadian who was also arrested in Chicago with Headley). All this is taking place as Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper visits India.

I agree with Rusty; these are disturbing developments from a North American standpoint. Canadians and Americans must take note of what is taking place around them. This is your backyard.

Update: Rusty has posted CTV's video report about the Canadian connection over on the Jawa Report. Click here to see it. One other factoid for those of you who care - Canada has been steadfast in its support for India since the Mumbai attacks took place. As mentioned over at Jawa, PM Stephen Harper visited Chabad House and other sites this week - however months ago Canadian Conservative MP Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multicultularism also visited sites of the massacre to pay his repects.

Who's funding jihad in Britain? Me and You.

The Telegraph:
Since April 2007, the Home Office has spent £611,470 on “living costs” for people put under effective house arrest on the advice of MI5. In addition, the Government is also paying some of the suspects undisclosed sums in benefits.

Hey here's an idea: PUT THEM IN PRISON. Oh wait, that would violate their "human rights." If I was a terrorist I think I would move to Britain and get caught on purpose. It's gotta be better than working from some cave on the Af-Pak border.

Whoa: FSA being given power to "tear up" bonuses"

Chancellor, Alistair Darling (pictured), revealed that the FSA would be given the authority to scrap payouts if they posed a risk to the financial system, thanks to new powers to be unveiled this Wednesday in the Queen's speech.

It will come into force next year if the bill is approved by Parliament, and would apply to all British banks, as well as the British subsidiaries of overseas banks operating in the UK.

A long week....Roundup

Well it has been a long week indeed, it seems bad news is coming out of everywhere. The aftermath of the Fort Hood shootings, the Windsor (Ontario) Police being castrated by political correctness, civilian trials in New York for terrorists, etc. etc.

SMW has a pile of reading to get through today and is looking forward to a night on the town (because yes, there are still some good things left in London). For a roundup of the week's madness - along with some great analysis - I highly recommend Sultan Knish's Friday Afternoon Roundup. It really is one of the best out there.

For those of you looking for some light-hearted fare check out the Infidel Blogger Awards. The nominees, and nominators here seem to have a pretty good sense of humour.

Check this stuff out, then go do something fun. Enjoy a Saturday afternoon with the family or friends, or both!

Windsor Police Chief Bows to Islam

Dear Windsor Police Chief,

Please grow a pair.

For once I agree with the union:
"In my belief, this isn't a cultural issue," said Const. Ed Parent, president of the Windsor Police Association. "These officers had a warrant to arrest someone. They went in, and they arrested this person."

SMW was in Windsor (Ontario) a few weeks ago when this whole debacle was going down; there are definitely parts of it that look a little more like Windsoristan than Windsor. I have some relatives that still live there who were told by local KFC employees that they had to stop serving their special ribs because too many of the Muslim university students complained that KFC was serving pork products. Anyway I digress.....

Check this out - H/T to Blazing Cat Fur:
Windsor Police Apologize for doing their job which, apparently, offends Muslims

The Welfare State: 1.2million households get 15K/yr in benefits

There were 1.2 million households whose total welfare benefits were worth £15,000 or more in 2007/08, the Department of Work and Pensions said. In 1997/98, the figure was 600,000.
And there were 300,000 households who received £20,000 from the state – more than the take-home pay of a worker on the average salary. That is three times the figure when Labour came to power in 1997.

....
But the number of working age people considered to be “economically inactive is much higher and stands at 8 million. That total includes 2.6 million people claiming incapacity benefit.

Anwar al-Awlaki's ties in Britain

There are many. The Times outlines some of al-Awlaki's supporters in the UK, then seems incredibly eager to point out that these 'supporters' have "denounced" Awlaki:

Despite his extremist reputation, the cleric had attracted support from mainstream British Muslim groups. Azad Ali, president of the Civil Service Islamic Society, wrote last November that Mr al-Awlaki was “one of my favourite speakers and scholars”.
Mr Ali, whose society’s patron is Sir Gus O’Donnell, the Cabinet Secretary, distanced himself from the cleric’s views last night. He said: “I reject them and disassociate myself from them completely.”

SMW: How convenient. *See below for more about this*
The cleric was also praised in 2006 by Osama Saeed, an SNP parliamentary candidate, who said “he preached nothing but peace”. Mr Saeed said last night he felt “cheated” by Mr al-Awlaki. He added: “I completely disagree with what he has said about Fort Hood.”
But Mr al-Awlaki’s lectures are still circulated widely
. The Times acquired DVDs of his lectures at two Islamic bookshops in East London, while Jimas, a registered charity based in Ipswich, offers downloads of his sermons.
Earlier this year a video lecture by Mr al-Awlaki was delivered at the East London mosque with a poster depicting New York in flames. The cleric was also the lead tutor, again via video, for weekend courses in Islamic thought held in April in London and Birmingham.

Awlaki has significant support in the UK. Terribly convenient that people are suddenly "distancing" themselves from him - yet his radicalism is nothing new. Some say denounce and distance, I say taqiyya.

Harry's Place has done an excellent two part write-up on Awlaki's supporters in Britain - and they specifically look at some of the supporters/denouncers mentioned in The Times. Read it.
Part One: Awlaki's followers Azad Ali
Part Two: Awlaki's British Supporters: Caged Prisoners

The Jawa Report has written extensively about al-Awlaki - and his ties to Caged Prisoners (also a favourite cause of "noted terror apologist" Yvonne Ridley).

Life Sentence for German Killer

The demented, bigoted, coward who stabbed a pregnant woman to death in a German courtroom has been handed a life sentence. Buh bye.

SMW cannot help but notice the amount of media attention and public outrage this case garnered (and rightfully so) compared to the coverage and public reaction to the brutal torture slaying of French Jew Illan Halimi. All hate crimes are equal, but some are worse than others...?

WaPo Solves Fort Hood Mystery

A lesson in journalism:

Active and retired Muslim service members recalled difficulties concerning their religion but said they cannot relate to the extreme isolation and harassment described by Maj. Nidal M. Hasan, the suspect in last week's Fort Hood slayings. They also said they hope the killings do not roll back the progress they have seen.

So that is why he did it. He was lonely. Of course.

Twenty Years Later...

Melanie Phillips reflects:

But the truth is that to be hostile to the western nation is to be hostile to democracy. And indeed, with the development of the EU superstate we can see that the victory over one anti-democratic regime within Europe — the Soviet Union — has been followed by surrender to another.
For the republic of Euroland puts loyalty to itself higher than that to individual nations and their values. It refused to commit itself in its constitution to uphold Christianity, the foundation of western morality.
Instead, it is committed to moral and cultural relativism, which sets group against group and guarantees supreme and antidemocratic power to the bureaucrats setting the rules of ‘diversity’ and outlawing all dissent from permitted attitudes.
When the Berlin Wall fell, we told ourselves that this was the end of ideology. We could not have been more wrong.

Read it all.

God bless Truro, Nova Scotia

"If you don't stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them."
Where can I get this bumper sticker?

Truro, Nova Scotia is a small town surrounded by even smaller towns and villages in the heart of Nova Scotia. Truro has given birth to many brave Canadian men and women who served in Canada's Armed Forces. SMW has a soft spot in her heart for Truro, I spent many summers there as a child on my great-grandparent's farm. My uncle grew up on this farm and went on to join Canada's Air Force, where he served for several years before returning to civilian life.
Many things in Truro have changed over the past few decades, but the heart and soul of this area has not. Here the flag is always flown with pride, and members of our military are treated with the respect they deserve. What a pleasant surprise it was for me to find this feature article in the National Post.

It is also a place where military tradition runs deep. The names of 278 townsmen who fell in the two world wars, and now Afghanistan, are engraved on the downtown cenotaph. "The attitude of people here is they support the troops 100%," said Garry Higgins, president of the local Royal Canadian Legion branch. Remembrance Day ceremonies draw between 3,000 and 4,000 people, he said. Herb Peppard, an 89-year-old veteran of the Second World War, said the respect he receives from the townspeople reflects their appreciation of the military. "I think Nova Scotia is always represented well [in the Forces] compared to its population," he said. "We get very patriotic here."

Please do read the whole thing

The article mentions lack of tourism information for the area - it is true there is not an abundance of stuff to do there but take a drive around Truro (go to places like Brookfield, Upper Stewiacke, Upper Mosquodoboit) and you will be amazed by the rolling hills and natural beauty. You can also watch the incredible Bay of Fundy tides roll in and out while dining at the fabulous Palliser Restaurant (Tidal Bore Rd, Truro NS). If you are looking for the best fish and chips you can find (better than any I've had here in the UK) visit Murphy's Fish and Chips (88 Esplanade Truro NS).
I had to get my two cents in - can't let the Post make everyone think there is nothing worth seeing and doing in Truro. While you are there make sure you stop by the War Memorial and pay tribute to Canada's heroes.

UK Press Notes Obama's mishandling of Fort Hood shooting

The Times:
The President’s jarring absence from Fort Hood — in contrast to a low-key visit by the former president George Bush on Friday — is not the only element of his response to the tragedy that is bothering his critics, Democrats and Republicans alike.

Words, Words, Words from the NYT

Word choice. Read the full article here (bold added by me):

Exhibit A:
General George Casey Jr., the Army chief of staff, said on Sunday that he was concerned that speculation about the religious beliefs of Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, accused of killing 12 fellow soldiers and one civilian and wounding dozens of others in a shooting rampage at Fort Hood, could “cause a backlash against some of our Muslim soldiers.”

Exhibit B:
Sen.Lindsey Graham, a Republican of South Carolina, and Sen. Jack Reed, a Democrat of Rhode Island, took also pains on Sunday to say that Muslims have served honorably in the military and at risk to their lives.
At the end of the day this is not about his religion — the fact that this man was a Muslim,” Senator Graham said on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” ...

At the end of the day, maybe this is just about him. It’s certainly not about his religion, Islam.”

Exhibit C:
Senator Joseph I. Lieberman of Connecticut, appearing on “Fox News Sunday,” labeled the shooting spree “the most destructive terrorist act to be committed on American soil since 9/11” and said that as chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee he intended to investigate Major Hasan’s suspected motives and whether the Army “missed warning signs that should have led them to essentially discharge him.”

Hmmmm Obama on Fort Hood...

Alright, I have been away and am a little behind. Just saw this clip today.

Via Blackfive:
Last, many soldiers I have spoken with are deeply concerned about the President's response. The President spoke for minutes about the Tribal Conference before addressing the tragedy on Fort Hood. What was THAT about?

Update: Here's the President's speech about Fort Hood. Some, in the Comments, have noticed the "Late Night" host like attitude. Weird. His PR manager needs to get fired. BTW, most media outlets are cutting out the weird intro.

Click here and scroll down to see the video of Obama. I am with Blackfive - what was THAT about?

In other news - George W. Bush and Laura Bush visited Fort Hood victims Friday night.

God bless American Soldiers

Have just flown back to the UK and will be back in full speed soon. In the meantime for information about the jihadi massacre in Fort Hood there is lots of good information at Jawa Report and Jihad Watch.

Keep the families of the dead and wounded in your prayers.

God bless the troops.
