Freedom of religion.
In a country where police play dress-up by donning hijabs and burqas, a nurse has been threatened with her job because she wears a necklace - with a cross pendant. Some of you may recall a similar case where a British Airways flight atttendant lost her battle to be able to wear a similar necklace on the job.
The nurse's employer introduced a policy last year which banned all necklaces as a health risk, however they do make religious exceptions. Well, is it a risk or not? If it was truly a risk there should be NO exemptions from the policy.
Staff are allowed to wear hijabs, which for some reason people believe is a 'requirement' of the Muslim faith.
