Sunday afternoon stroll...

If you are new to London, or just visiting, I highly recommend you take some time to explore the area of Belsize Park, Hampstead Heath in North London. A beautiful area with a large North American community, Belsize Park and Hampstead Heath have many wonderful restaurants and shops - as well as miles of nature trails.
Recommended walking route: If you have some time, take the Northern Line to Belsize Park station. When you exit the station turn to your right, and you can follow this road straight along past rows of shops and into Hampstead.
While in the area stop by the Belsize Village Delicatessen, where you can get lots of tasty treats from home (like marshmallows, peanut butter and maple syrup) and fabulous cheese.
Looking for something to eat? Try popular ice cream parlour, Slice of Ice. Or for something a bit heartier, enjoy a steak dinner at Gaucho.
For things to do check out Kenwood House, the Pergola, and the seemingly endless walking and cycling trails that surround the area.
